ASSHOLE OF THE MONTH: Rhianna; waste of taxpayer's money on entertainment thugs continues with this welfare wench

Chris Brown is back under Rihanna's "Umbrella."

The hated singer has gotten back together with the 21-year-old pop star, just weeks after he allegedly beat her so badly that he left her face battered and bruised, according to a published report.

"They're together again. They care for each other," a source told People magazine.

After patching things up, the pair reportedly got together at the Miami Beach manse of rap impresario Sean "Diddy" Combs to spend some quiet time together.

The reunion came after Brown, 19, called Rihanna - whose hit songs in clude "Umbrella" and "Disturbia" - on her 21st birthday last week to wish her well.

"They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual," the source told People.

Brown has reportedly been thinking long and hard about the Feb. 8 incident, for which he was booked by LA cops for allegedly making threats.

"While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he's really happy to be with the woman he loves," the source said.

A representative for Brown had no comment on the People report.

Rihanna's dad, Ronald Fenty, stood behind his daughter's decision.

"I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I'm behind her win or lose," he told US Magazine.

"I will be supportive. If that's the road she wants to choose, I'm behind her. "

Los Angeles prosecutors have not yet decided whether to file formal charges against Brown, whose chart-toppers include "Run It!" and "Forever."

The assault came on the eve of the Grammys, forcing Rihanna to cancel her performance at the awards show and other appearances so she could recover in her native Barbados.

Brown also canceled his appearance, and has since become a music-industry pariah. He especially angered Rihanna's mentor, Jay-Z.

The full extent of the brutality of the attack was known only after an evidentiary photo of the star's battered face was leaked to the media.
